As a bird adorning itself with feathers, this woman adorns herself in an alternate style in order to bring out her own uniqueness and beauty. I am fascinated with beauty that is outside of conventional means. I feel that being unique is more important than mainstream standards of beauty. This painting celebrates the individual style of the model. I hope to bring up the question in the viewer, "What is beauty?"
