All of the paintings from my first and my second Chroma series have been small. With "Like Liquid" I wanted to start expanding and exploring what I could do with this aesthetic, so I wanted to try something larger. This piece is the largest painting I've done within this series, and it feels like an unexpected turning point. I feel the greater amount of space on the picture plane is allowing me to take more creative turns.
